A typical school week at Gamlingay Village Primary School is 32.5 hours.
- The school day begins at 8:45am. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child arrives on time and reaches their classroom promptly.
- The school day ends at 3:15pm.
Collection Arrangements
- EYFS to Year 4: Children are released directly to a named adult.
- Year 5 and Year 6: Children may leave independently.
- Year 4 (Summer Term): Children may also leave independently during the summer term.
- Staff will remain with children who prefer to wait for their parent or carer.
Wraparound Care (WAC)
- Key Stage 2 children attending after‑school Wrap Around Care may make their own way there.
- Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children are escorted by a member of staff.
- A register is taken on arrival at WAC.
Late Collection
Children who have not been collected 10 minutes after the end of the school day will be taken to the School Office. Parents or carers arriving late must collect their child from the office.
