Safeguarding

Safeguarding at our school

Safeguarding is the most important thing we do. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued and supported at school, and we are committed to creating an environment where all pupils can thrive. We work closely with families, external agencies and the wider community to protect children from harm and to promote their wellbeing. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Whether you are a pupil, parent, carer, member of staff or visitor — if you have a concern, please speak up. We are here to help.

  • Working in partnership with families
  • Promoting respectful, kind and responsible behaviour
  • Ensuring all staff are trained to recognise signs of harm
  • Following national guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and deputy DSLs are available every day to support pupils and families.

No concern is ever “too small”. Your information may be the missing piece we need to help keep a child safe.

Keeping children safe together

Safeguarding works best when school, families and pupils work in partnership. By talking openly, raising concerns early and looking out for one another, we help ensure every child feels safe, supported and able to learn. If you have any questions about safeguarding at our school, we are always happy to help.

We know that families play the most important role in keeping children safe, and we value working together to support your child’s wellbeing.

Please contact us if:

  • You are worried about your child’s behaviour, wellbeing or safety
  • Something has happened at home that the school should be aware of
  • You have concerns about another child
  • Your child has disclosed something that concerns you
  • You need advice or support from school or external services

Our safeguarding team is here to help, to listen and to guide you towards further support if needed.
